Hi anyone has an idea as to how Wordpress Mu and joomla can be bridged together so that they look like parts of single website.
Right now Wordpress mu has been added as a wrapper. However both joomla and WP require different log ins (and log outs). There have been some attempts elsewhere but haven't found a satisfactory answer to my problem. Also doubt if this approach is search engine friendly.
    Could you:
    1) Suggest possible solutions or show direction in which I should be thinking, or
    2) give me links to the post where someone has done this successfully

I am stuck, and with amnt of wrk put in, there is no point going back.

@v2interactive: Thnx. I have seen that option, just dint want to spend 100$. However that remains the option if we can not do it manually.
Can anyone please tell me how can it be done manually?
If not that is there a good replacement for Wordpress Mu? (apart from joomla blogs)

i often use subdomains to mix the 2 into the "same" site.

Getting standalone systems to "play nice" with each other is no easy task. That Joomla/WPMU extension is $100 for a reason. ;)

"Integration" can be simply sharing information between the two platforms, and leave it at that. Looking alike just means you skin them to look alike. Cheaper to skin them both separately and tweak each layout to suit your tastes.

Really dint try sithburns' method. My team toiled hard. But we came to the conclusion that there is no stable method available to integrate and bridge WSMu with joomla. I was really interested in inserting a points system where users get points for blogging, writing and receiving comments. Not sure if this was possible with WP. (Just for records I purchased MyBlog Std version for some 35$. May not compare it with WP, but is working fine so far)

I saw sithburns tutorial (video and the text version) and it was actually very easy to do and the result is above good. Small issues are css styling - either conflicts or that your wordpress will look a but cramped with the style of Joomla. If you have a header and footer on your Joomla site that does not update this is a very good way to go. If however you use modules in your footer or header that updates (could be weather or similar) they will not update. Overall I like the sithburns solution very much and thank you for doing this. If you are looking for a "bridge" that sync's the Joomla/WP users this is not the solution.
