Embed videos

I want to have a few embed videos on a site and i think youtube ones look poor, is there any other alternative?

 

I was looking at megavideo.com earlier, looks good not tried it yet though

 

I don't like their ad at the start. I'm already running adsense on the page.

 

youtube uses a far inferior transcoding method than even Myspace! I have videos on myspace that look better than YT.

In your case though since mysp is a whole can of worms in and of itself, why not try metacafe?

Their transcoding is a lot better than YT's (not just my opinion, a fact if you search for it online)

But i don't get t why you don't like youtube .....

 

YT uses an older codec that makes any video with movement (my time lapse videos especially) look blocky

if you read my blog I go into some of the specifics and even have a sample of both videos, one @ YT, one @ MC and while admittedly it is hard to distinguish the differences in quality on this particular video, check out this screen shot:





looks how much smoother and more sharp! the MC version is over the YT version and to a lesser extent the MySp version!!!
