I want to have a few embed videos on a site and i think youtube ones look poor, is there any other alternative?
youtube uses a far inferior transcoding method than even Myspace! I have videos on myspace that look better than YT. In your case though since mysp is a whole can of worms in and of itself, why not try metacafe? Their transcoding is a lot better than YT's (not just my opinion, a fact if you search for it online)
YT uses an older codec that makes any video with movement (my time lapse videos especially) look blocky check this guy, he knows where it's @: http://blogs.chron.com/makingmovies/archives/2006/04/youtube_and_the.html ha-ha and I'm 4th on the list for "youtube transcoding" http://timsdd-timelapse.blogspot.com/2007/07/blockbuster-blitzkrieg-why-youtubes.html if you read my blog I go into some of the specifics and even have a sample of both videos, one @ YT, one @ MC and while admittedly it is hard to distinguish the differences in quality on this particular video, check out this screen shot: looks how much smoother and more sharp! the MC version is over the YT version and to a lesser extent the MySp version!!!
