Hello. Excuse my in advance if this is not the exact spot to put this. Anyway, here goes. A friend that I set up with a simple website in Malta, a very small island nation, is unable to send emails to the one of the free email providers in this country. The hosting is from dirt cheap place in either the states or India, I forget. Emails go correctly to the rest of the world. Can anybody think of why this is or a solution short of changing his hosting plan...This is an issue, since some of his customers use the local free email service...and obviously, some potential customers in all probability. He did contact the operators of the local email place... but they were unresponsive at best.
Does he get any bounce back emails when sending to that operator - this could reveal what could be the issue from the sending server.
Good point Rob, and you can check if the sending server IP isn't blacklisted - mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx
Have been in contact w. the local people.... ip was on their blacklist....working to get it sorted. Going to be quite a hassle... glad I am not on the phone with them
