My server's has 2 sites on it, each is a forum. In the last month all emails that are sent from the server are going to the users' spam folder. I've double checked at all spam databases, checked domains SPF records, reverse-lookup for ip- all is fine, but gmail still puts all those emails into spam folder. I tried something else- to have that server send emails from another server I own- but again, all those emails that are originated from the bad servers are going to spam folder. Can anyone point me to what should I check next?? Thanks!
It's most likely issue that the your Ip address is being blacklisted go to mxtoolbox and check if the ip is blacklisted ...
I have read that adding your server address (from: address) to your Google contacts helps to build it's reputation with the Big G .. the more people that do it, the better. Of course if you're blacklisted or the tools mentioned already show other issues, you'll need to resolve those.
spam filters do not check only ip, but email format, there are some variables aka red flags in the formatting of an email that can warn a spam filter of a possible spam email, so I suggest you to check the type of email you send and not the server you send them from
