Emailing..

ok so I got one question or maybe two . If i send one random person an email is it considered spam??

What if i send 10 people emails is that considered spam??

If i am not selling anything am I allowed to send emails or will that be considered spam?

It is spam if you're sending repeated mails to a person who doesn't know you.

Sending any unwanted (unsolicited) emails is S-P-A-M. No matter if it is 1 or 1000, or whether you are selling something or not

 

ok thanks for letting me know then i wont do it... I just dont understand it lol I can go to someone and send them a letter in the mail but I cant on the internet? eh oh well screw the email idea haha

 

I guess the concept is the same. The difference is that sending physical letters costs like 100000000 (add a few more 0's) times more than email. If they allowed spam email, we would be each getting in excess of a 1000 spam emails a day.

I think my abandoned spam account is currently sitting at somewhere near 10,000 spam emails

 

You can't send emails whey they did'nt optin in your email list... better collect emails on your site and send emails to them, that could be safe..

Unwanted email are spam unless that person agrees beforehand to recieve email. Of course if you know the person or think you may get emails from time to time, then no , its not spam.

 

If that person has opted to recieve email from u then it wont b called spam.
