Email vendor pricing

    Hey guys,

    I'm reviewing email service providers for a small company. They need to deploy (100% self service) about 40k emails a month to subscribers, with about 5-10k of those triggered from a database (so API access). Besides that, the basics of unsubscribe, spam checking, open rates, click rates etc are a must.

    My thoughts are that they can get this for about 5k a year. Is that reasonable or am I off?

    As for their pricing,you can get a more cheaper price if you tied a longer contract with them.
