Ask a really compelling question that evokes a lot of curiosity (e.g. Does your business have this one huge advantage?) Ask a question that presents an ideal situation and evokes the imagination (e.g. What if you could work half as many hours and earn twice as much money?) Make a big claim and offer to explain how you did it (e.g. How I increased my profits 150% in just one day) Mention a big threat that they may not be aware of (e.g. Your business may fail without this)
From Email Subject Lines that actually work: Over the years we came up with 4 common characteristics all great subject lines share - #1. It needs to reference something you know about #2. It needs to be something that is important to you #3. It needs to have an expiration or urgency factor #4. It needs to be something you yourself can act upon ("you" refers to your target recipient)
Be careful on the subject line with the Can Spam Act: For word "free" or "opportunity" for example will stop your email with all the email filters. This one wrong word can keep 60% of your emails from reaching their destination. Do an online look up for "Can Spam words prohibited" As above, the words you, tips, and secrets, and one day only work fine.
Dyadvisor is full of it (as he usually is). anuragwebworld, just so you know, if you don't already, that's the bigest, hottest-laid load of shit yet. Of course that is not true.
Prove it Perry, you will see how little you know. Email the OP with those two words in the subject line. Why not do it to all five of your penpals?. bounce, bounce, bounce, bounce, bounce........ Perry, I feel sad to state that you are brainless. More so, you refuse to admit when someone provides correct advise and continuously try to prove that you are the `mr._know_it_all.' In the process you are endangering whatever chance `dyadvisor' is providing to others to learn the basics. Ok! for a moment I agree that whatever you have wrote is correct and what dyadvisor has written is not. I'm providing below 4 links. Their page ranks are provided in parenthesis after their respective urls. Check out the list of words, listed as spam subject, in these sites, and then tell their webmasters that they too are fools. If you do possess more knowledge than dyadvisor, accept this challenge of mine. Currently your website has a zero page ranking. Can you increase its rankings in a month? If so required I'll provide your website with the required number of backlinks from various domains... you choose, .com, .edu, .gov, or your favorite .shit If you do succeed, I'll never challenge you. If you do not accept this challenge, I'll treat it as your lack of knowledge in this field and would advise others to stay at arm's length from your vitriolic comments. FYI: I admire and have respect for someone who accepts that he does not know. Not knowing and trying to prove that you know all is extremely dangerous. http://www.timgross.com/articles/spamfilters.html (PR1) http://web-hosting.tophostingcenter.com/?p=71 (PR2) http://www.internetbasedmoms.com/ezine-publishing/avoid_spam_filters.html (PR3) http://www.trumba.com/help/email/watchwords.aspx (PR4)
parsibagan, I feel sad to state that you are STILL brainless. Wait, no, not sad...just amazed. LMAO where are you, back in grade school?! lol I could give a rat's ass what you think. Your continued lack of intelligence (well, stupidity, actually), by posting those sites that got it wrong also (especially that first link) just adds on to the fact on WHY I could care less about you. Oh, and, uh, Stan Laurel, like so many other professional copywriters out there, currently my website does have a 0 ranking (unlike DavesDaily.com that I have worked on in getting it ranked very high), and I could care less on that one also. I get, maybe, around 60 or so visitors a day from my canvassing, word of mouth and referrals. (Do you know what "canvassing" means???) Of that many, I get, around, 1 customer (client). From that 1 customer (client), I get, around, maybe, $900 to $1,500. Multiply that times 3-4 jobs.... Wait, can you multiply simple numbers??? Sorry, I should have asked first. Oh, and, uh, FYI (*chuckles at the "FYI"*): And since so many sites have little to no rank, yet the webmasters have thousands of daily visitors due to outside advertising and word of mouth, rank means squat in determing "success." Another SEO tip for the Laurel and Hardy of the Internet. I'm going to send off some more e-mails tonight to my family, friends, the members here and to my clients with those, oh so bad words and terms in the subject line, and in the body of the mail itself. Wow, I DO hope my mail gets through ok. *worries*
I guess it is a waste of my time to discuss things with a one_of_its_kind nincompoop like you... go dig your head in your ass since that is what you specialize in... Hey, nice idea.. *rolls eyes* the day I plan to launch an article about `shit'... i'll take hints from you. Canvassing... what does it mean? I can see only a hidden word in it which refers to you. P.S.: You mentioned that word, not me, you canvassing stupid.
*blink blink* Oh my! lol clueless noobs...sometimes ya gotta love 'em at least for the free entertainment! Have a good night, parsibagan. *crossing fingers that all my e-mails get through tonight*
I hate to point it out Perry, but using words like 'free' or 'earn' etc will SERIOUSLY impede your chances of getting the email through the spam filters nowadays. That's why you get so much spam like 'fr33' and 'opp0rvnity'. If you don't understand why this is, log in to your aweber account (if you have one) and create an email with a few words like that. Then save it, and see what aweber says. BTW, have a b33r.
The mail went through. Whew! Huh. ... I wonder why. Hmmmm, it's a mystery. I'll be sending a few e-mails later on today with such words as free and information you requested in it. Gee, I hope they make it also.
Poor Guy! The discussion went out of the track! Ah, free entertainment to read people's comments on fighting with each other relating to "Knowledge" ! "Little Knowledge is a dangerous thing!" I am better at this then!! Btw, different mail severs have different filter mechanism, So, if you think that "free" and "oppurtunity" would also pass through, they might! But most of the mail severs will filter the mail containing these in the subject line and move to your Spam Folder! I hope I am right!
You are correct. However, this does not happen if you are using webmails like gmail etc. Regarding the discussion going off-track, the gentleman (sic) in question has a habit of poking his nose in most posts in this forum, even when he has no idea about the related subject. If that is not enough, he uses profane words in most of his posts. He passes advise on how to code web-pages to make them search engine friendly whereas, his 2 years old website still has a PR of 0.
