Email spoofing questions

Somebody sent out a massive email campaign with my domain as the address. So, my mailbox was flooded with thousands (around 30k) worth of bounced emails and angry responses. I had to spend hours filtering out legitimate emails and getting rid of the crap.

    My questions are as follows:

    1. Is there anything that can be done to prevent this from happening again?

    2. Is my domain likely to be identified as a spammer and blacklisted?

    3. I did a whois lookup on the domain being adversited (some weight loss suplement); www.receivsvkedfilles.com Is the guy that owns the domain named Paul? I want to make sure I'm identifying the correct person.

    4. What options do I have available for retribution (legal or not)?
