My company is hosted on godaddy.com right now. Everything is perfect with the hosting of the website, but we are having major issues with the email side of their hosting. Emails are either not going through, getting blocked or not showing up for hours. I have tried to work with the support from godaddy but it has not helped at all. This is happening to everyone in my company and not just me. I had my IT friend check everything out and everything looks good. We are a small company (we have about 15 email addresses set up) but we are slowly growing so we would need something that can grow with us. We are thinking about finding a company that provides a hosted email server solution or purchasing our own email server (which at this point is probably to expensive and not needed based on our usage). If we go with a hosted solution, does anyone have any recommendations? If we purchase own server, what would we need to do so? Are there any other options that we may have?
Actually for hosting our simple site they have been pretty good. Our site is static with a few asp pages and I don't expect it to be much more than that so there is no worries with the hosting. It has been the email that has been the problem. Any suggestions for a good hosted email service?
I'd get rid of godaddy as well, in the long run it'd more than likely be cheaper and easier to move to a different host than have a seperate email provider.
If I moved my site to a new hosting company, what happens to all of our email accounts? Can we use the same email addresses with this new hosting company? I do not want to have everyone in my company change to a new email address.
Are the emails ? If they are based off of your domain you simply need to recreated them with the new host...Check your old host for a few days to possible a week or 2 just to make sure no emails get directed to the old host.
