Hi, A friend of mine has been using mass emailing as a medium to get regular visitors to his web site. His traffic conversion is more than 40% all the time. Is this the right method to promote a web site? Will SE not penalize for using emails (unsolicited emails) for web site traffic.
Emailing has nothing to do with your SEO efforts, emails are not crawled or indexed as they are not public.
Yes as above persons said, Emails have nothing to do with SEO. It can just bring you traffic and sometimes it will be useful to get good customers if you do email marketing in a good manner.
You'll only get traffic from email marketing method and not links. Just visitors to your site. Search engines like google has nothing to do with it!
Email marketing is a perfect way to drive traffic, however it wont get you backlinks or penilize you for your SEO efforts. Google has no control over email so they cant see your link.
Search engines are not having any problem from your promotions, but if your email is too long and having huge links then you will be in spam box of email. so try to write concise and effective and don't let down your reputation at any cost.
you need fully optin email data and good email creative and can get some good traffic. SEO is not related to email marketing.
