I am starting a forum site. I was wondering if I include the below language, would I be able to use their submitted email while registering for email marketing efforts? Like list rental? Would that cover my opt-in requirements? Would I need a seperate opt-in check box or could I include this in the terms?

"I would like to be contacted periodically via e-mail to receive information, offers , and more from AdsenseRevenueForum.com and other companies whose products or services AdsenseRevenueForum.com feels may be of interest to me."

Good question. I'm not sure. But I think if it's part of the sign up then you're covered. Paydotcom has a similar sort of deal. You sign up and automatically you get the newsletter. I also send them to forum members on one owned by a client.

Not sure exactly what you're trying to do, but I'd always opt out of that (or not opt-in) as the language suggests you'll be selling e-mails to other companies or giving it away as it's a related topic.

What if I make an additional pre-checked box with the email marketing notice. So this way it's not as sneaky and people can un-check that box if they do not want to be contacted by my marketing efforts and still register.
