   Sometimes the site sends me email notifications on a thread I created/subscribed to, but when I come by the thread to check, nothing is there. Does this happen if someone adds and then deletes a reply, or is it a site bug?

   Yeah it could happen if a reply was deleted after the notice email was sent (you can't undo a sent email).
