Email notification idea

ok, I wanted to run a idea by you all. Today I went into the rank checking section to find that I had lost all my high ranks for over 30 keywords. After looking into the problem I realized that when the coop network last refreshed, it downgraded my weight from 80k to 12k. I want to see if maybe the network could be setup to send out emails when large drops in weight occur. After I manually revalidated my weight went. Back. Could you maybe add a option in the user settings to send out a notice when weight on a account drops like 50+%?

It is just a idea, but I think it would really better the network.

Well you're still showing the same number of ads when it happens, so it would actually make it worse (if you were told) for the rest of us ;) I know what you mean though, I've seen a similar thing happen to a couple of my referals, and it probably would be nice if they atleast *knew* about the change.

So the COOP can validate your weight without you manually doing it yourself?

The coop is automatically validated at a random time period, otherwise people would take down the links once their weight was distributed.

ATLien, how long was it before you last checked your weight? Shawn mentioned it takes up to 4 days for your weight decrease to be reflected in the network.

It was less then 10 hours from when I had a 80k rank to when my google ranks where gone. It was overnight. I lost ALL my ranks too.

It would have nothing to do with the ad network in that case.

I agree. That's not enough time to have that large an impact on the serps.

ok well explain why they where back up soon after I got my weight back. Trust me it has todo with the network. It has happend in the past. I am not sure what is causing the flux in my weight, but everytime my weight goes down, my ranks go down.

I beg to differ, I went from #6,000,000+ to Top 10 in 3 days when i first started the network. The network use to be more powerfull though.

There is no way google can spider all the pages of the sites providing you a link in the network, determine that the link is no longer present, and alter the SERPS to match this all in the space of 10 hours AND then do the opposite when you weight went back up.
