Is it ok to put your affiliate URL link in the email,so that when they click on, it goes through that link?

I have never tried email marketing before and was thinking of trying it out.

Thats exactly what you want to do. Alot of people buy cheap domains and cloak their links so they don't look like a regular everyday affiliate link.

How do you go about sending emails without spamming. Is there a way to get a list of people interested in what you may have to offer?

I have looked in to several companies that offer email marketing, but im not sure if they spam or not.

It's easy to build a list of subscribers who are interested in what you have to say and promote.

You just have to target the group of people you want to promote to correctly.

I go over plenty of that stuff here:

you can "hide" the affiliate links by directing them to a script on your site, which then redirects to the affiliate site.

    eg: http://www.yourdomain.com/amazon.php

The amazon.php script will simply include a redirect that goes to the proper page.

I think it's a nice idea. There's no harm in trying.
