    Does email marketing even work? I mean honestly when I recieve an email from someone i don't know I delete it - without a second thought. I sometimes delete email from people I DO know.

    Email Marketing is just sending mails on bulk basis, regarding your services and products. Earlier it was effective but now its not. Now a days the success ratio of Email Marketing is 2:100. If you want to try it, you can. But remember two things:
    1- Your mail format should be very effective.
    2- Information regarding your Product or Services should be very very attractive.

    it depends. I believe it is effective when they opt in the newsletter themself. if u are planning to buy a huge list, chances are, it will not be working.

    FYI: Email marketing has been one of the most successful promotion methods for a long, long time. It all depends on the data you have and how targeted it is.
    Spamming people won't make you rich, but having a nice opt-in database can make the difference.
    The good thing about mailer marketing is that you don't have to invest much, it's fast and you can offer your products over and over.
    You will need a targeted database to succeed, otherwise is a waste of your time and $.

    It helps to some but not to everyone. Two days ago I have got a mail with an attractive offer of about 50% discount. I rushed towards that offer because according to me it was very cheap. So if your subject and newsletter is attractive then you will definitely get good traffic to your site.

    ys E-mail marketing is very useful business.....when u build a sales page Or an E-commerce site and tracking leads....when u have some special offer on your website and u want to leave a message to your subscribers and your old customer ... then writing Promotional email will help u in bringing sales and leads for u.....

    Email marketing is very old. Very few people see email advertisement emails.
    most of them gets deleted by the viewer...

    using autoresponder is more effetive in email marketing. Give your subsriber value before blasting them with your offer.
