I have purchased a forum website with ~40,000 members, all members were double opt in (i.e. they marked the option allow admin to send me emails, and then activate their account). I want to start using email marketing but I can't seem to find out what is the best way to do it. - the vbulleting software is is not efficient to send emails to all members, as it is slow and you mostly get an error before sending emails to all members. - services like aweber required from all users to confirm their subscriptions (although in this case they already confirm it when registered to the forum. - didn't find any hosted software that can support sending such amount of emails and also I don't know if the VPS hosting is capable of handling this amount of emails. anyone has encountered such problem? What is the best approach you think I should follow? Thanks!
You will need to purchase those email marketing services, they provide you their server and software to send emails to your list. They charge you a fee depending on how many mails do you want to send for how many number of times. I heard a lot about one, its Aweber, try it.
If they all have registered and confirmed it then it shouldn't be a problem to use Aweber to send out those emails. wow 40,000 is a lot!
