I know aweber and phplist - Fine

But what is the best email marketing software?

GroupMail? Sendblaster? SendStudio? Another one? Any opinion?

How big is your list? Do you have ISP limits? Any experience to share?

    Thank you

Your ISP made no problem using your emailing software in your area? No limit?

Are you using the Personal Edition or the Business Edition?

    GroupMail Personal Edition = US$139.95

    GroupMail Business Edition = US$349.95

Based on GroupMail Personal Edition - this version is designed for higher volume tasks and is ideally suited to business / corporate users - GroupMail Business Edition can send almost 100 times faster than the Personal Edition using up to 256 simultaneous connections and incorporates cool features like Database Direct Linking & Importing (ADO/OLEDB/ODBC), Scheduling, Queuing, Background sending, MS Outlook Integration, routing, XML document support, and much much more!

I wanted to try the free version of Groupmail anyway but you can't try the internal SMTP on the free version! Useless!

I am using GetResponse and it works perfectly for me :)

Aweber seems to send my emails to my list's Junk box too often..

aweber, GetResponse are servicies. I think you can't compare a service with your own hosted solution.
As I know GroupMail is a desktop solution so your PC should be online all the time. Also I suppose it is not possible to track statistics with desktop software.

Did you start your list with GetResponse from scratch or did you import an existing list?

If you imported an existing list did you have to go through a new optin process?

I recommend SendStudio for all your email marketing needs. I have customers from all over the world that are satisfied with SendStudio. It also came with a Private Label for thoose who plan to resell.

    Good luck!

If you're REALLY serious about email marketing and have someone hired just for this who can code... Arial Campaign hands down. It's not cheap but it is THE most reliable bulk sender I've ever used. Tons of features. Features are pretty much endless if you can code. 1 big drawback is that is has to run on a windows server. Check it out!

also, if you're just starting out with email marketing, I'd take a look at IMC's Mailloop. Not too bad for the price. And its not for large lists either.
