Email Marketing question

I want to get into email marketing, anyone recommend a service? I understand there are free ones, but they pale in comparison to the charge ones like Aweber, correct?

Also, does anyone email market for niches they don't know much about? I feel like I should know a lot about whatever niche I decide to build a list for considering I need to keep sending them helpful free information on that niche that they probably don't already know, so short of doing a ton of research on some random niche and hoping I don't make an ass of myself in my emails, I should pick something I'm pretty comfortable with already here on Clickbank, yeah?

To be honest, if you really think you can build a good list then go for any niche. You can always use Google search to research about it. However, the trickier part is using your brain to effectively use your research to market away via email to your list.

For example, let's say you were doing acne:

1WK) Send them information on fresh fruits they can eat to stop their acne.
2WK) Send them some info on some creams available
3WK) Send them some information on why acne is as bad as it is

You get the picture. Break the niche down in to very small snippets which you can use in your email marketing, and also throw in a sales email once every 3-4 informative emails, but make sure to make the sale not too aggressive but also not too subtle.

Free email services will not have the deliverability of ones like Aweber and Getresponse.
Dont go cheap on something that can be potentially very lucrative. It is worth the expense.

Can i use it for all of my sites ie for multiple niches?

Also, where do you recommend putting the sign up form? Do either of those services (aweber or getresponse) offer one of those things where it goes across and shadows the entire page so that the sign up box comes to the forefront?

    rbf738,
I recently came across a totally zero cost system and will generate good and long term income online.

Apart, they literally hold your hand and show you how do it and learn and gain a lot from it.

The information, report, e-book is free, and yet they guide you step by step.
They will have some cross sell there, but is an optional. I like this and instead the cross sell items is related and helpful in your business also. The most important thing is i join it FREE, and did buy some useful e-book, and this help me learn a lot in just 14 days!!

You can find the detail on my signature below.
I suggest newbies to trial out as this is no harm for that.

I do suggest shelling out simply to get the deliverability as mentioned. Aweber or Getresponse are best. Some people also use emailaces.

With my aweber, I have multiple lists in multiple niches. However, don't go overboard on too many lists. Most of my lists are not earning me much and I am actually starting 2 new projects where I will focus better on making them profitable!

email marketing is the best form of marketing, if you have a good email list.

There are so many softwares are available in the marekting, which can give you the immense power of selling your product with empty hands, no investment required.
If we talk about Aweber and Sendblaster programs then, I can say that these are a bit expensive, you can use some other softwares which are available in the marekting at a low cost.
For example groupmail, vallen emailer etc.

Yes you can use it on multiple niche. That is what you call a campaign. You can have as much campaign as you want. All my affiliate site have a email capture form... that's a must. If you are not collecting emails you are leaving money on the table.

But first the hard part is to persuade people to opt in. You can use free gift like free report or ebook for them to opt in.

Ive used awebber and getresponse too, but I found my deliverability went down over time. I talked with the guys over at ContactPro and they set me up with a dedicated server that turned out to be cheaper than getresponse.
