Email Marketing Question - Gold Lasso eLoop - Opt In List

    Hey Guys,

    I have multiple websites on mortgage, finance, and payday loans in my control. They currently have around 40,000 emails that are qualified opt-in leads just being recontacted to remind them of our services and sign them up as a newsletter.

    I'm currently setting up with eLoop 4.0 from Gold Lasso and I didn't know if anyone have any reviews, ideas, or objections to this system.

    It seems a lot of people have been talking about webtrafficmarketing.com and aweber.com...

    I guess aweber is a double opt-in so a majority of your list no matter what will be unusable... although this company is whitelisted by most ISP's so you'll have a very high delivery rate.

    don't know much about the other company, any input?

    aweber is great for deliverability. But they are strict so no importing bought names. However, if you can write the current list and get them to aweber, you will have great deliverability.

    I dont' know much about Gold Lasso. Have you done a google search for their name to see if you can find people's opinion of them?

    I have used Gold Lasso at my previous employer (interactive agency). Gold Lasso offers a lot of features for the price compared to ExactTarget, SilverPop, Email Labs etc. Every client gets their own IP address and they do authentication so ultimately your deliverability is based on your sending practices. Their API isn't very robust however I know they were working on releasing a better one with more calls. Every email service provider has their quirks but overall Gold Lasso is one of the better values on the market.

    I really appreciate the post BigAdBoy, even though it's your first. Hopefully you don't work for Gold Lasso :p

    Anyways, I googled to no avail, they need to work on their own marketing in my opinion, lol.

    I'm going to give them a shot, but if you don't mind please explain why the deliverability would change due to my sending practices, assuming I'm sticking to all the ICANN and obvious policies of clear CTA and non-spammy words, etc.

    I'm an email manager with an advertising agency that specializes in minority marketing. At my last employer we used Gold Lasso for a number of projects and most went well. I have used a number of ESPs and they all have their faults so its a matter of choosing the best one for your needs. The director of interactive marketing chose Gold Lasso because they offered a lot of features and was the cheapest bid. The company does fly under the radar a lot however I have seen some more press about them lately.

    These days IP addresses and domains are assigned sending reputations by ISPs with the help of companies like ReturnPath and Habeus. Its just like a credit score. If people complain about your mail, whether its opt-in or not your sender score will be lowered and your chances of being blocked increase. The philosophy is that if you send spam or unwanted mail your complaint rate will increase giving them a reason to block you. In fact, in most cases these days with large inbox providers such as Yahoo and AOL (with the exception of MSN and Hotmail) email filtering is done based on IP and domain reputation then content filtering.
