Is there any GOOD place to buy targeted opt-in email lists? Obviously those sites, "SEND 1000000 emails for 19.99!!11one" are not what I'm looking for. Rather I'd like to find a place that has opt-in lists for different categories. I've been searching but everything I find is Sketchy. Any tips? Thanks, Jonathan
The best "opt-in" lists you can have are your own. You should start to try build your own list instead of looking for a opt-in deal. One of the better ways to generate leads and money though is to look for ezines that will do solo ads. They are somewhat expensive but with a good targetted ad campaign, you will see some results.

I think it's best to build your own e-mail lists. Maybe provide a free service that offers helpful webmaster tools and have them signup using their e-mail. Once you have a strong base of people who have signed up. Use that list as an effective way to turn a profit. It obviously depends on what your selling, but it would be the best way in my opinion.
veretekk.com is a great place to build a list. I am a member for a long time. It's free. I did not include my own link as I think its great without promoting it that way. Try it, its worth a look.
I was looking more to the email lists as getting into niches I currently am not in. Rendering my ability to build a list fairly useless. I have been looking into an email capture for my current sites though. Thinking of going with Aweber for that. Thanks for all the suggestions so far. I appreciate it.
For email lists, DO NOT use Majon.com for emailing!!!! They are not good at all! Just wanted to give you guys the heads up. But if anyone knows any niche tarketing emailing services, please share your experiences. Thank you, Colin P.S. - i have heard AWeber is good for "List Building"
I have spent time on looking at the situation with buying 'targeted' and 'opt-in' email lists. Nowhere do I find any of these are legit. The only people worth looking at were macromark.com They seem to buy only direct mailing lists off the catalog companies - these are people that have bought things - they are categorized and the company will sell you lists but they cost about $5 per name!
