Buying a list definitely is NOT the way to go.

While you can do this, you're not likely to get too many sales, not to mention a huge number of unsubscribes once they see e-mails coming from some random unsolicited e-mail.

If you've got a product to sell, try finding a Joint Venture partner that will let you use their list in exchange for a piece of the profits.

Let's say you have a measly 4% conversion ratio. Let's also say that your JV partner has 5,000 readers to his list. If it's a responsive list, 50% should check out the link he sends. So you've got 2,500 potential buyers. At a 4% conversion ratio, you've got 100 buyers.

So, if it's a $40 product you've just made $4,000 minus whatever you give to the JV partner. Also, you've got something even more valuable. 100 people who have bought your product. Chances are, most of them will want to hear from you again.

By keeping in touch with previous buyers, you practically eliminate the cost of finding new customers and selling to these people gets WAY easier.

Sure, this may take a little longer, but if you're serious about changing the way you live your life... this is a good way to do it.
