EMail Marketing Beginner

    I am new to email marketing. Can anyone help me out with some of my FAQs

    a) List of countries where EMail marketing is not banned.
    b) Is EMail marketing banned in UK.
    c) What should one do if he wannts to go for EMail marketing in countries where bulk emailers are banned and regarded as spam.

    i may be silly if i dont know it but i am hearing for the first time that email marketing is banned somewhere.

    Just follow the CAN-SPAM guidelines and you can send all the emails you want. Works wonders.

    According to this one can send commercial emails but should give the recepients an option for not receiving emails in future. Am i right??

    Exactly. You need to have an "unsubscribe" link, your physical mailing address and be very clear as to who you are.

    And build up your subscriber base ethically, build trust, offer incentive for opting in

    don't buy lists, it just damages your reputation

    Its illegal to send bulk, unsocial (people you don't know) emails to any one in the UK, (basically, SPAMing). But there's absolutely no penalty.

    I mean exactly what I say

    unless you're a spammer, the only way to build any sort of ROI, reputation, relationships, brand recognition, list groth, and sustained revenue growth is to build an opt-in subscriber base
