Email marketing and adsense

    Is it against adsense policy to use email marketing to drive traffic to your site? Has anyone used email marketing to drive appropriate traffic to your niche site? I don't mean just sending out mass emails to random emails. I mean specifically focused emails to a small niche group of people. Can anyone add their imput please? thanks in advance i look forward to your responses

    also are there any other types of promotion methods that google does not allow if you have adsense on your site?
