OK, so I have my new Joomla site, and now I am trying to get the contact form to work.

I edited my settings, SMTP Server with my username ans I assume the host is the server?

I have tried several different emails/servers and if nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

First you have to go to Components -> Contacts -> Manage Contacts and add a contact

Then the mail settings in Global configuration should look like this

Yes, server should be able to handle email sending for you. Have you tried using PHPMail instead of SMTP? In regards to SMTP settings, you better contact your host about the Host name. Godaddy hosting, for instance, requires "relay-hosting.secureserver.net"..
