    Hi everyone,

I think some hackers are using my email domain to spam people. Im getting a bunch of returned emails in my inbox which I have no idea where they are from.

Can anyone help me with this problem?

    Thanks in advance,
    Steve

Nothing you can do about but getting used to it. Spoofing from addresses is dead simple and is part and parcel of email-land nowadays.

get a better virus progam that checks email, I prefer avg, and also you could try changing the password if you think someone has actually gotten into your account.

Set up a "rule" in your email preferences (substitute @ for "at" in the examples below):

Let's make up an email address for you — your name"at"youraddress.com. For example, let's say your email address is joe"at"joejones.com. Then make this rule:

If "to" or "from" contains "at"joejones.com AND
If "to" or "from" does NOT contain joe"at"joejones.com
Then select the option in your "rules" preferences to toss it into the TRASH.

In the above example, when those undeliverable spam emails are returned to you, your email program will sort out those which do not contain your full and correct email address (in this example = joe"at"joejones.com) and will send them directly to the trash.

An even better solution is if your email server will accept the above rule and will toss them into the trash even before they reach your computer. My email server will not, but some will.

P.S. I would "test hop" the new rule first by having it send such spam messages to your junk folder, rather than to trash. Check your junk folder daily to see if it is working correctly. Once you are satisfied that it is, then change the option to having these emails thrown directly into the Trash.

Another P.S. Caution if you have a second (or more) email address such as webmaster"at"joejones.com. If you do, then the rule above will "trash" legitimate emails to webmaster"at"joejones.com. If you do have a second email coming to the same domain name, be sure to include it in the rule as well, with an additional line (in this example) like:
If "to" or "from" does NOT contain webmaster"at"joejones.com

    Good luck.

It's coming from his own domains. Banning those isn't very clever IMO. The Rule suggestion above is better.
