Just received this email from google adsense. Now have to go and see if any of my sites are on such things. Should not be, but who knows? Hello, It has come to our attention that invalid clicks or impressions have been generated on the Google ads on your site(s) through users of third-party services paid or provided with other incentives to visit your site. Such services may include, but are not limited to auto-surf, pay-to-surf, pay-to-read or pay-to-click sites. As a reminder, any method of generating invalid clicks or impressions is strictly prohibited by our Terms & Conditions and program policies: https://www.google.com/adsense/terms https://www.google.com/adsense/policies If we continue to detect invalid clicks or impressions from these services on your ads, we may disable your account to protect our advertisers. Sincerely, The Google AdSense Team
I posted the email here so that others can see that using autosurfs, paid to click, and other such sites may get your account disabled, or even banned! So all those new autosurfs that are adsense related, there is a post somewhere here for such a site, are a no-no according to google. Darn....I own a paid to click site! Now I have to remove all my sites from there. Yes, it was nice of them to warn me. And I surely did thank them for bringing this to my attention and I will see to it and would they let me know if they know what site of mine is where. Just in case someone is playing games and decided to put my site into an autosurf program. Been known to happen and sure it will happen again. Also asked them about whether it is okay to use a paid traffic site to drive traffic to my site.
Is that google at some point will say, no advertising your site. If you use email lists to let people know about your site, then you are asking for clicks. If you have links on another site that is banned from google, or is against their TOS by advertising on an autosurf site, paid to click,,,google may ban you! And you are forgiven Jarod.
Thanks I'm so used to the "i got banned" thread i didn't read it to the end! Nice advices, everyone should take care to that!
I can understand why they don't want invalid clicks, but how does invalid impressions affect them? I'm just thinking, if I'm updating my website which has 100s of pages and I want to take a look at the pages after the updates, am I violating the TOS?
Does that mean that after you update your site that you shouldn't look at it to ensure the changes made are suitable, or is there a way to disable the ads temporarily?
I too would be interested in the answer to that question. If you wouldn't mind posting the answer here. Thankyou MK
Invalid impresions? OMG, after update I'm visiting my site online to check if all is OK. Is this bad(no clicking ofc)? How to avoid this?
Nice...Warning I think people who banned from google are done "HUGE MISTAKES"...otherwise G send warnings
just add this line in the code: google_adtest=on i'm not too sure if you need to put " around the on.
I posted that same question to Google and the asnwer was "google_adtest='on';" I saw it somewhere here on DP but can't remember who the original source was. Response From Adsense:
