Email extractors?

    Howdy,

I was watching a documentary about nigerian scammers, how they use email extractors, etc. After googling it I noticed there are such programs.

This is intriguing, as it would be great for advertising.

But, how effective are these programs and what is the legality of it?

And say I got 2k emails. I send out one email a day to these email addresses. Is this considered spam?

    Thank you!

And to give you an update on punishments.

Fines of $20 per send out email isn't rare. So sending out a million spam messages will cost you approxametly around 20 million dollar.

Now can you profit more then $20 each email?

Think about what harvesting emails could do to your business. Every time a prospective client see your email, he will automatically delete it and will even include your email address on the blacklist. You'll be seen as unprofessional; worse, a scam artist.

Google and Yahoo would catch you eventually. You'll get away with the first try. After learning that email owners flagged the email as spam, Yahoo and Google will automatically place your emails in the Trash folder.
