    Express? That's pre-historic.

Install Thunderbird, import all e-mails from Outlook. Then back-up Thunderbird's mail archive files. As simple as burning the file to CD.

There's a folder somewhere in :\Documents and Settings\your_user_name that holds all the Outlook Express messages. It usually has a unique name, like Profile90f390qa89f3 or something. Or you can just drag and drop your messages right out of OE into a folder.

But I'm with T0PS3O. Get rid of OE and install Thunderbird.

    And welcome to DP :p

First of all you need to confirm your outlook version ".PST Files are only created by MS Office 2002-3 while Outlook Express has files with extensions .dbx.

I hope the following link will help you to resolve your problem

    Thanks

Thank you very much for your suggestion.
That was just like what I needed. However, if I am to choose between a manual backup and a automated one ( made by a software ) I would go
with the last one, because I'm not the "do it your self" type, and I'm afraid of the possibility of losing it if I don't do the backup just right. Too bad the OE Quick Backup has been discontinued.. Sounded like a nice application. However, after searching for similar software tools on the web I've found several , such as http://www.amicutilities.com/outlook-express-backup/
This look like my problem is solved.
    Thank you!
    :)
