Hey guys I've done work for a client recently and after I completed the project, he asked for a refund. Here's what happened. He contacted me about work and we discussed the details. I designed a website for him and he approved the design and said it looked great. Next I coded the website for wordpress. He approved it once again and sent me the money. After that, I sent him all the files that he needed including the psd files A few days later, he told me he found someone with a better not unique template. He then asked for a full refund or agreed to pay me a little bit more for a complete design again. I told him I could do a redesign but I would have to send him another quote. Today, he opened a paypal dispute for 1/3 of the total amount he paid me. Am I entitled to give him the money back or not. To me, it's like a contractor building a house and the person paying for it saying he wants a different house after approving everything on the current house. Let me know what you think thanks
No, he's not legally or morally entitled to any refund. In the Paypal dispute defend it by saying you were providing a service and they will probably lose their claim.
Ok thanks. That exactly what I was planning on doing, just wanted to double check if I was in the right.
If he double approved you work before sending payment, he's not entitled to a refund. This sounds like a case of "buyers remorse" to me.
