    Hey guys.
Just wondering how the email advertising CPM works?

Do you send an email out to all the users on DP? Which email list is it sent to?

Are analytics provided? Would you accept an advert from a link selling service?

    Thanks in advanced.

No, it's not spam email... A banner ad gets added to the top of normal emails that are going out anyway (things like thread reply notices or email verifications for registration).

It does give you stars of course.

Maybe this could be for me!?
I'm representing a software company and we will ask for beta testers for the new tool, aiming at the SEO consultants.
All we need is some 20-30 people, to get started.
I'm currently looking for alternatives for these things.
E-mail sounds as the attractive alternative. At least, it reach the target users!

A second thought about the e-mail...
I get loads of e-mails, just like any other person. Do people bother to open and to read these e-mails!?
If I speak for myself, I'd say no...

Emails sent to users compared to emails opened by users is a pretty consistent 25-30% rate of being opened. For example for the last 24 hours, it looks like this:

Also, the "open" rate is probably about 10% higher because a good number of email clients won't report if it's been opened or not. So that's just the rate of emails being opened where we are actually getting the report of it being opened.

    Haha!! All right!!
Thank you! I think that's pretty good figures, if your post is true!
I mean, are people really that curious!? After all, it's no love letters and the main issue is written in the subject...!

For me, I use Thunderbird and I think such client doent's report back if letters are open or not. (Please correct me if I'm wrong on this one!)

Yeah there are good number that don't report back, I would guess 10% of the ones sent are opened but not reported as opened.
