Exactly. Subject lines and email text is just like writing headlines and sales copy on your sales pages. This site is offering a free course on writing email promotions: http://EmailPromosExposed.Com (no affiliation)
Rep added. Well, surely I never pay attention to my Spam emails though some emails even though not qualifying as spam are there
Thanks WILLB, you saved me from having to write the same thing (though obviously not as well!) One more thing I'd like to point out is that in certain industries you can't use e-mail advertising of any type any more. Mortgages, medicines, porn, etc. You know what I mean. Every spam blocker in the transmission chain is sensitized to certain industries.
I used to sale alot of clickbank products using that form of online advertising, it does not work as well as use to but it is worth giving it a shot.
you can join my site free it does work NO COST look at my signature....when you get to my site loook at my pr and alexa!!!! I dont use safelists because no one reads them I have tried them............IT DOESNT WORK at least for me! thx
In my test runs with e-mail advertising, I haven't found any service that really promotes returning users, and so you are probably wasting your money.
You might consider looking at only opt in lists although many consider the emails spam and delete them
well said, opt in lists is must for long term success in internet marketing. If you don't have it you are just another ordinary marketer
Personally I delete emails from any sender/ company I am not familiar with. May be you can try a sample such that you don't spend a large amount of money.
Email ads are very seldom clicked. However, a very smart way to capitalize on the power of opt-in emails is to write an authoritative article for placement in a newsletter
I disagree. I often see the CTR (%) of email ads that are more than the CTR (%) of adsense ads on my sites. But just like the CTR of adsense depends on how targeted your traffic is, the CTR of email ads depends on how targeted your list is. But I totally agree with you on this one. Newsletter editors are always looking for well written content, and some would be willing to give you a link instead of paying you for your article.
