Elvis has left the building, thank god for that.

I'm not saying the king was crap, but hey come on, he's been dead almost as long as I've been alive, right? Its due to mainly this opinion that I find myself here, amongst y'all, chomping at the bit to get a number of new projects off the ground, but lacking the support I need. Am I getting ahead of myself?

let me go back a bit and all will become apparent.

My Name is Tim and until recently I worked as a press officer (copywriter) for a Local Council in the UK (I have to refrain from naming names.) I was very good at my Job and had managed many projects to the delight of my rather ignominious Boss (He's the Elvis Fan in all of this.) And so, as it always does, time marched onwards and the constant argument over a coffee and a cigarette on our breaks about 'why Elvis was the last word in Musical History', began to wear on my nerves a little more each day. Oh, many would say that there were other reasons as well, just as the assassination of the Arch-Duke Ferdinand was not the only cause of the Great War, Bob's incessant rambling about the Kings' musical prowess (regardless of whether or not I had even mentioned music that morning) drove me to the point where I felt honor bound to finally lay 'it' on the line for him, the 'it' in question was me telling Bob, in quite graphic detail, what I felt he should do with the entire back-catalouge of Elvis Presley, which when you think about the volume of work would be pretty uncomfortable, (still I suppose these days he could digitize it, not so much of a problem then.) What can only be described as a 'breakdown' of our working relationship occurred. he really took it to heart, and so I decided to downsize my life and quit. I have a young family, and so certain harsh decisions were made and sacrifices were taken.

I now work free lance as a Journalist/copywriter/editor what ever the hell is needed and will be paid for in cold hard currency. I have a number of relatively lucrative projects which are not online and I want to get them on the web. Also, as I need the cash and experience I would like to write copy for websites. This looks to be one of the best places to tout myself about like some cheap tart, so that about brings us to where we are now. if anyone has any advice (and promises not to talk about Elvis) I would be grateful for it. Ta Ta for Now
