Elven Demons is for sale (apps.facebook.com/elvendemons) (www.elvendemons.com)

The game was launched two weeks ago, and has accrued a few hundred players ever since. No ad campaigns have been made to promote it.

We started this game last year, but we have shifted to Flash Based games, and have discontinued support and development for Elven Demons.

This game caught the attention of one of the major “marketing” houses while in the early stages of development, and we were offered a nice contract of exclusivity with them. The game was to receive 20k non-incented installs at the time of release, and 50k more installs after reaching certain numbers. You may wonder why the ads are not running for it right now, and the truth is that we are finishing development of two other games that need as much advertisement as possible, and we have reached an agreement with the monetizing company to re-direct the installs to one of our other games. Because we have an exclusivity agreement with them, we can't offer another company to monetize this game. Thus, we are selling and letting someone else take over this business and get a sweet deal with another marketing company. (Note: we are not transferring any kind of ad agreement with a marketing company or anything. We are letting you know that we were able to work a nice ad agreement with a major company with this game because of the graphics, programming, story and overall quality of the game. It's in you to contact the companies and get a new agreement.)

Now, here are the more technical details of what we have and are transferring to the buyer:

169 different Items (swords, shields, magic, accessories, miscellaneous)

Bypass requirements Option: if a player doesn't have the requirements for a mission (party members, level) you can put this special button, they pay a certain amount of elder points and can continue playing.
Unlock mission (certain chapters can be made “optional” and need to be unlocked by paying elder or referral points)
Special “Party Members” item, that players can buy to have a bigger party.
Players can check their pending invitations, accept invitations and send invitations in the “Allies” Section.

Here is a review of the game:

“Elven Demons is a story based RPG game that, as of right now, is only available on Facebook.

The reason why Elven Demons will be one of the most succesful RPG Social Games, is because it has one innovative aspect that differentiates it from most social games and makes playing it more appealing: a story element, albeit one that's a fairly minor appendage to the game.

At any given time, you are in one 'location' in the game world, with missions tied to the nature of that location. There are also secondary missions that allow you to move to a different game world location. Thus, there is a sense of change, and of exploring and learning more about the world as the game goes on.

What is the appeal of this game? Well, for one thing, you can just play for short periods once a day or so while at the office or whenever you have a minute to spare. There have been others that allow this, and it's interesting to see a genre that finally succeeds with the model. There's the pull of rising in level simply to unlock the next tranche of content. And of course, the game tells you more about the story after completing each quest, instead of making you stay in one location of the game repeating the same missions over and over until you are so tired of seeing the same graphics that you have nightmares about them.

Player interaction is, in fact, expanded in this game, compared to it's counterparts: you can not only invite your friends to play and attack other players, but you get to interact with the newcomers and help them by sending them some of your spare items and money. On the downside, you don't get to attack just anyone, but characters of approximately your power. Combat is a matter of comparing your stats, along with those of your friends (other members of your group') against those of the defender and his or her friends. This game brings a whole lot of possibilities that others didn't: you can post on your in-game wall what allies you have and will help you in case of attacks, to stop other players from stealing your gold reserves; you can maintain a vendetta against one particular player or group; you can ally; you can negotiate; you can provide money or items.

Another interesting feature that this specific game brings into the table is the ability to auction and bid on items at the "King's Auction House".

The game's story is fascinating, but a little hard to understand at first. To summarize: the main character of the story (or "you") is walking back home one night, when it's suddenly attacked by a mysterious creature, which you find out later, is a Demon. After struggling, you lose consciousness and wake up the next morning not remembering a thing. It turns out that the Demon is inside you, and together you start an interesting and bizarre adventure. I won't tell you the whole story, of course.

The game continually evolves into something more fascinating as you advance and move from location to location. Drawings have a medieval and almost artsy look. The mystery of the story and not knowing what will happen next make Elven Demons a must play if you like RPG games that you can play with your friends and challenge other people.

Give it a try. And if you like it, become a fan! Drop a line to the guys that made it, and continually add more chapters (one new chapter every month, according to the App page)”

@enormous: the engine has been highly customized and it has no bugs. but the main asset here is the art. if you can get me more than 500 excellent quality graphics, designs for t-shirts and all for less than 4k usd let me know. i'll hire you for our next games. we have spent more than that.
all the other games didn't get attention from marketing companies. we did.

I developed a few games on facebook myself and now that it is costly, But you can clearly see from your app. that it is the same rpg setup as these other cheap engines, You cant expect to throw good graphics on these run of the mill engines, and expect to get $4k for it! thats just unrealistic.

If you went as far as making your own graphics then why stop there, Why not just continue and build your game from scratch,

Or at least modify the coding so you dont look like those engines.

You want a game from scratch check out mine, I hand coded it with my team and we did all of the graphics etc. - http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=175006644278

@enormous: your app seems to look the same way as any other bowling game. Does this mean that because you coded it from scratch, it takes value away? why didn't you add anything new to it?
my rpg game LOOKS like the other ones. but between the cheap, crappy and full of bugs one, and the one that took months to develop, has TONS of extras and months of artists working on graphics, there's a HUGE difference.
making it from scratch doesn't make it original, as you so clearly pointed out by showing me your game. but it does mean that you have made a quality product, that you have put effort and time into making an excellent finished game and are trying to offer the best to the public. i congratulate you on your game and because you coded the exact same things others have done, but you've done it yourself and from scratch to have the best programming available. and i congratulate you for making the graphics. now you know how hard it is to get a few pieces of art done. now try to make more than 300 graphics for quests, hundreds of items and locations... see the amount of time it takes... and money.

the kind of game i wanted to build is a story based, semi text based rpg game, and with the same gameplay as Elven Blood had, or other games like that. and that's what i did. there's only a certain amount of ways that you can change the way this kind of games work.

if you see this game, you actually move from location to location, not like the mafia wars clones that have you doing the same things over and over in the same place. it's not that kind of game, though it has similarities.

anyway, this game has more than 4k invested, mainly on ART. my studio is pretty strong on ART. another studio or independent developer may have a stronger team for the programming, and this may be an excellent opportunity to take over a product without bugs, with excellent admin menu, lots of different option, already FB tested, and that has caught the attention of some of the big marketing companies.

If you don't believe it costs $4k but are interested in it, send me your serious offer and it will be considered among the other ones that i have already received.

have an excellent day and week! good luck with the bowling game!
