ADVICE: DON'T ORDER ANYTHING FROM ELSHAZLY I hired him to do a job, design, xhtml coding, flash. He said it would be done in two weeks. So a few days later he gave me the first preview, pretty nice, the client didn't like the banner so he said he'd do that last. 2nd preview, he did some boxes, client said okay I guess, so he continued. The next day I messaged him that the client was looking at it and didn't like the green and it wasn't designed like he had wanted it. A while later he still had not changed it and just added a news section. Then after being afk for a long time, it's now the day before 2 weeks is up. I've now asked for a refund plenty of times. He tells me if hes not done by the 12th he will issue a full refund. So by this time I decide I'm done with him, the day before it's all supposed to be 100% finished he now decides to take the initiative to talk to the client. I repeatedly ask him to refund the money as he cannot perform a quality design, coding, and flash job in a matter of one day. He repeatedly says he will refund after 2 weeks is up. After a while admitting he cannot refund anymore because he spent all the money. Stating that I am the problem, and that even if it were the end of this 2 week period he wouldn't be able to refund the money. Here is the conversation to prove this occurance... Please let me know if I am in the right or wrong here as I am sick of this little kid and his ignorance. ADVICE: DON'T ORDER ANYTHING FROM ELSHAZLY (I am Supernal Media - CEO, elshazly is selling HOT forum skin - $20)
i didn't read the whole thing...but...sorry man this whole situation is funny thats why you should pay a deposit straight up, and pay the rest on completion. But $200 only for xhtml, design and flash? Hmm well you get what you pay for
There's a lot of bs-ers around here. I had the same issue with another guy around here that pretty much was going to take my money but fortunately I got it back. Sad, and most of them are kids living in the mom's homes so they think they're safe.
Rather than raising a ruckus, why not let him try and finish, if your client doesn't like the design, sell it or put it up for sponsorship and try again? You'd have been better equipped to try that plan if you hadn't trashed the designer, but you could turn around that template and order another in hours and be done with it. As is, you have a paypal dispute, he doesn't have your money...but if you work it out, he does have your design, no matter how flawed. Neither reputation looks good here, although I understand your frustration. Flaming reputations in the middle of transactions is not a good idea. Long after the issue is settled, the ugliness will be there.
It's a real shame that most people here haven't learned you get what you pay for. You can't expect a lot for next to nothing. I routinely pay upwards of $500 for my templates and am 100% satisfied with the results. Those times I've tried to pay less, quality suffers. If you would like a good designer to put together a template, PM me the details and I'll see if my guy is available.
There is too many instances like this going on online now. you really need to watch your back. im not sure how much you paid but if it was only $20 then its not worth the hassel chasing him for a measly $20 is it? if it was more then i think you should take further legal action against this person.
