If you haven't heard already, there's a new webmaster "workshop" type of webmaster conference called The Elite Retreat. Facilitating this event is Jeremy "Shoemoney" Schoemaker, Lee Dodd, Dave Taylor, and Aaron Wall. The event is being held in San Antonio, TX Dec 18&19th. With a limited amount of attendees (35) it is offering an extremely close up and high valued experience. I am priveged to be the project manager for this event and I'm looking forward to meeting other webmasters out there wanting to expand their business and sites. We've experienced alot of positive encouragement from some top SEO/SEM leaders in the industry at how great of an event this would be to attend. Shoemoney says: "IMHO anyone who is approved through the application process (meaning we strongly feel we can help them achieve there goal they filled out in the application) should see a return on this small fee within 1-2 months." I had read about this on Lee's blog at ForumTrends. I would guess that with the small setting, this would be a great place to learn and grow your business from some guys who obviously know what they are doing. I hope to make it!
This is like the webmaster version of spending two days geting business tips from Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Paul Allen.... You'll learn stuff that you probably won't find on a message board, and get an iPod Nano filled with exclusive content from them!!
This is definitely something that will provide value to the attendees. I am looking forward to networking with those present!
Something I wish I could afford. Going to be a lot of good info there and a lot of very good people to guide you in earning online!
Last year I made about $5000 from my web ventures, this year, I'm going to make over $50,000. A lot of the motivation, guidance, and knowledge used to reach the 50k mark came from Lee. If any of you have ever had the opportunity to organize and put on a conference (for 20 people or 2000, doesn't matter) you'd know there are numerous expenses that go in to the entire process. From renting space, to project planners and organizers, to promotion, to your own time and travel. Brett Tabke did a good write up about how overwhelming PubCon was to put together, and while this certainly isn't as big, the same principles apply. I don't think I'm quite ready to "consume" what these guys would have to offer to me as I'm not that far along in my web endeavours, but for anyone looking to really increase their bottom line and find new ways to earn and grow their online business, I can't think of a better group of guys to give honest, candid advice about making money online. Would be great to have a few "Lessons Learned" made available to the public!
because its 1 week before christmas I do not expect it to sell out or really be close. Should be really good for the few that are going.
