We just finished making a website for a certain client. He seems to like it, but even we feel that the website is a bit bulky. Also the entrance takes a little bit of time to load all images and starts playing an animation (By the way, this is a website for an Indian engineering equipment reseller. The average line speed in India is pretty pathetic, so it can take up to 5 minutes to view the entrance page). Is there a way to make the entrance to the website smooth and elegant using JavaScript / DHTML? (BTW, this is the website in question.)
