Electrics - Can a 48volt DC battery bank be charged with two 24volt chargers?

Is it possible to charge a 48volt battery bank with two 24volt chargers - while maintaining 48volt output?
The setup is quite straightforward. I am running two step up (12 - 24volt) dc to dc chargers, but have decided I want to run my motors at 48volt instead of the originally planned 24v. (Yes the motors and controllers can take well in excess of 48volt)

So I'm a bit stuck unless I can figure out a way to charge the 48volt bank with the two 24volt chargers I have.

I need to continue charging while actually using the motors, so I cannot do the obvious (switch/disconnect) method.

    Appreciate your help.

To get the 48 volts, the chargers would have to be in series. I doubt they were designed for that.

yea I know... would probably blow them so I don't want to try putting them in series. I'm kind of hoping for a solution that allows the chargers to sit on 24volt sub sets of the bank, protected by diodes somehow.
