Elance Contractor - Really Need Advise

    Hi

    I could really do with some advise :)

    I have hired a contractor via Elance and he does seem really nice and genuine with great feedback, however we hit a hurdle and one of the job requirements he cannot do. I have been sending him messages via the workroom, suggesting alternatives, but I have had no reply from him in over 24 hours. although I have send about 5 messages.

    I have funded the job, but obviously the funds haven't been released as the job hasn't been completed.

    What would you do? would you give them a little longer to respond? (I know just over 24 hours isn't that long but all other replies have been within a few hours). Or would you cancel the jobs and withdraw the funds?

    Thanks for any advise.
