Endurance International Group (EIG) has acquired Bluehost. If you don't know who EIG happens to be, they own iPower, Fatcow, Startlogic, Powweb, Globat, EasyCGI, Justhost, and plenty more. So if you are hosted with Bluehost, Hostmonster, or Fastdomain don't be surprised if you see some changes in the future.
It remains to be seen what changes will take place from EIG. But if you look at the past history of EIG buyouts, their track record for screwing things up is notorious.
True, they've had some mess ups in the past. However, with the current state of HostMonster, etc... it might be a welcomed change. Oddly enough, I have much better performance on Bluehost. I really hope they leave it alone for the most part.
I'm pretty sure that EIG (endurance international group) and Ipower have bought the full trio that is BlueHost. This includes FastDomain, HostMonster, and BlueHost. Anyone know of any other buy outs? I'm a huge fan and supporter of WebHostingPad, and I'm scared that they might be on EIG's list. I'm sure that WebHostingPad has at least received offers from the group...
