Its really strange, my site was getting around 500 uniques at one time, then a few months later it gradually went up to 4k, then back down to 2k uniques, then a month later it went up to 10k traffic for about a week. Today it went back down to 2k. What's going on?

Edit: i did some dir submissions before it went to 10k

    Google traffic btw

It's probably related to your search engine position. If Google is changing their algorithm or they place you on top for a while, you could get traffic spikes. Do you know where your traffic is coming from?

It would all depend on what you are actually offering that makes them come to your site at any one time. Maybe a lot of people came because there was something offered that they couldnt find anywhere else, and overtime other sites have started to offer the same. Or you have stopped to do what you use to do to attract visitors.
    Theres so many explanations.

Did you track your SERPs all the time? Looks like you are going from #11 to #4, #3, #2, etc and then back to #11. If it's the traffic from google, maybe this is the only explanation.
