No, the recession is not all Obama's doing. I don't think I ever claimed that the recession is all Obama's doing. Please show me if I ever claimed that. Why would I claim the recession is Obama's doing? Why are you claiming I wrote that? The recession is the fault of the Democratic Congress. Read your Constitution - Presidents have very little power over the economy - a President can't even change a lousy interest rate! The power over the economy is held by Congress with the main power centered on the House of Representatives. Now that you understand how the US government works, don't you think you may not understand about how the US depression happened too?
The president has more power over the economy than any single legislator in either Branch of Congress. The previous Administration and the Republican Congress's first legislative enactment was to reduce their burden in raising revenue, lowering their own taxes and redirecting the burden to the middle class - engaged in an unnecessary war they were paying for by back-loading the debt to the next Administration while engaging in unprecedented earmark legislation with not one amount of debt reduction enactments the entire period of the Bush Administration. The Clinton Administration turned over to Bush a budget that was balanced and likewise paying down the deficit.
No he does not. All three branches of government are equal in power under the Constitution. I suggest you do as Corwin suggested and read it. Its only 6 pages including the letter of transmittal and the Bill of Rights. Another thing that might help you is to look up Checks & Balances. That's what ensures that no branch of government will become more powerful than another. It's worked as designed for quite some time now. BTW, you only really need to read pages 1-4 to figure this out. Imagine that, 4 pages - the entire government. OBAMACARE 2000 pages.. Go figure.
One person is equal to 2/3s of both branches of Congress is why Clinton, Bush and Obama are responsible in a greater part for their roles than individual legislators or the respective legislature. Off Topic ......
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!! I vote that statement to be the most ignorant thing Breeze has ever written. Who else agrees?
Your capitals are confused Corwin, maybe you think no one is noticing your posts.....not to surprising and somewhat reassuring.
Well, look who's in the same boat as Corwin.....not very surprising either, maybe they can find a paddle and make something of themselves.
I ain't claiming nothing. The question mark at the end of the sentence means it is a question, not a statement. Absolutely! I've never claimed I actually know how it happened and any input I have, same as everyone here, is a guess. Nobody (here) knows the truth of what happened because we weren't there. All we know is the system fell over and our allegiances tell us whose fault it must have been.
What nobility are you taking about? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_rights_in_post-invasion_Iraq#War_crimes_by_coalition_forces http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abu_Ghraib_torture_and_prisoner_abuse#cite_note-45 Bagram torture and prisoner abuse The New York Times, in a report on January 12, 2005,[20] reported testimony suggesting that the following events had taken place at Abu Ghraib: Urinating on detainees Jumping on detainee's leg (a limb already wounded by gunfire) with such force that it could not thereafter heal properly Continuing by pounding detainee's wounded leg with collapsible metal baton Pouring phosphoric acid on detainees Sodomization of detainees with a baton Tying ropes to the detainees' legs or penises and dragging them across the floor. In her video diary, a prison guard said that prisoners were shot for minor misbehavior, and claimed to have had venomous snakes bite prisoners, sometimes resulting in their deaths. By her own admission, that guard was “in trouble†for having thrown rocks at the detainees.[21] Hashem Muhsen, one of the naked men in the human pyramid photo, said they were also made to crawl around the floor naked and that U.S. soldiers rode them like donkeys. After being released in January 2004, Muhsen became an Iraqi police officer.[22] It was discovered that one prisoner, Manadel al-Jamadi, died as a result of abuse, a death that was ruled a homicide by the military.[23] One detainee claimed he was sodomized. The Taguba Report found the claim (“Sodomizing a detainee with a chemical light and perhaps a broom stickâ€) to be credible.[24] Quotes from a prisoner They said we will make you wish to die and it will not happen [...] They stripped me naked. One of them told me he would rape me. He drew a picture of a woman to my back and made me stand in shameful position holding my buttocks. —Ameen Saeed Al-Sheik, detainee No. 151362, [25] 'Do you pray to Allah?' one asked. I said yes. They said, '[Expletive] you. And [expletive] him.' One of them said, 'You are not getting out of here health[y], you are getting out of here handicapped. And he said to me, 'Are you married?' I said, 'Yes.' They said, 'If your wife saw you like this, she will be disappointed.' One of them said, 'But if I saw her now she would not be disappointed now because I would rape her.' †[...] “They ordered me to thank Jesus that I'm alive.†[...] “I said to him, 'I believe in Allah.' So he said, 'But I believe in torture and I will torture you.'
