    Anyone have experienced this lately?

The IP you are using to access the e-gold website (210.213.140.173) appears to be either an open proxy or otherwise exploited. You will not be permitted to access e-gold services from this IP while this condition continues.

Your first order of business to restore access should be to make sure that you are computing securely. Please read and implement e-gold's Security Recommendations.

After you have resolved any security issues, including virus removal, it may take a day or two for your access to be re-enabled.

I created a new account and still it gives me this notice.
Is this just normal in egold and will my account be really accessible after 2 days as they mentioned?

Do you two guya actually use a proxy in the first place???

Or is it your real IPs that are ginving you this jip?

May help people answer your question - though, if theres two of you, than it suggests its a problem at their end. Personally, I cant say as I never use eGold.

You can use web proxy to access your e-gold, but keep one thing in mind when you have sentinal enabled in your e-gold, the system will knock when it finds the frequent IP changes from different countries / location. So the solution can be usage of one proxy site alltime or using some vpn proxy service like megaproxy.

I had the same problem with my regular internet connection (DNS blacklist problem) but last night I tried using my Pocket PC (blue tooth connection from my cell phone) and it worked. :) I logged in to my account successfully. Though I don't recommend using proxies to login to egold account.

Try to find some proxy who is providing proxy service with ssl support. And remember to use it regularly :) . IP fluqtuation isn't good for e-gold, as i said before.

    Good Luck.

Yeah, exactly the same message I got this Sunday when tried to login to my e-gold account so I was about to call my Internet Service provider and give them a hard time , anyway I am paying them to access any website right? To my fortune, on Monday the issue had resolved itself, seems like my ISP has changed my IP and no more problems with e-gold account access as of now.

Btw, from my previous experiences ISPs sometimes really can change your IP, especially when they are having DNS problems themselves they can switch from one to another and that could be exactly an open proxy for the group of users (my provider sometimes do it)

    My reccomendations:

    1. call your ISP and tell them the message you are getting (no need to tell exactly which site you tried to access ;)) ask them to give you good and clean IP - not an open proxy. That is their DUE btw, remember you paying them your own money!

    2. if you are using cable or DSL connection go buy an Internet card for use with dial-up, for example, with another provider and use that card to access your e-gold through dial-up connection (I had never problems accessing my e-gold with dial-up)

    3. use Pocket PC with bluetooth as respectfully suggested by "Disguised" member on this thread

That should resolve all of your issues and you will be just fine, mate!

As for using proxy to access your money I would never fill safe unless it is a proxy which can provide you with a secure ssl access as respectfully suggested before by forum user "grandy". But that will cost you money, as I doubt there is any free proxy with ssl service.

Changing your IP when accessing your e-gold is not an issue from my personal experiences as they tell you when you try to access that your IP address had changed from last time login and they will send a one time PIN code to your e-mail registered with e-gold, you enter that PIN and you are fine!

And that is a good sign for the security protection of all e-gold account users as if someone tried to access your e-gold from different IP you get immediately the notification from e-gold and can take further actions like contacting e-gold and telling them it was not you so... you are more protected with this feature although it might be a bit of annoying :)
