Everybody keeps on saying "Don't put all your eggs in the same basket" meaning that don't just use adsense as your main source of income, well this is my questions to every body who thinks that way.. How do you DONT put all the eggs in the same basket when? Affiliate programs don't always pay, example: cj.com is not always a good source of revenue, some advertisers dont even credit sales or leads, azoogleads is a similar example. I have send over 2000 uniques to both programs with only $10-15 in leads however with 2000 uniques you can make a lot more with adsense. So how do you make money from your websites with other programs than adsense. Everybody says adsense is #1 and I do believe so, but if you get banned how do you monetize your site, I mean I know that there are other pay per click programs like YPN, Adbrite etc. Give me examples on how NOT to put all your eggs in the same basket...
Get revenue by other means. Write paid articles Insert paid links on your site and/or blog Offer your services for a fee. Just some ideas. Col
Id like to see some further responses on this thread - I've been wondering the same thing. Unless your site is to the scale of IGN or GameSpot to be making a nice big lump sum from private advertisers, I believe the only other real monetization methods would be getting a pr6-7 site, maintaining or raising the PR and selling 10 or links a month would make you around... Not sure, $30-50 a link? Not bad..... also Text Links Ads is great
Start selling drugs on your site On the serious note, I would just keep trying different solutions till I find the best. Peace,
try clickbank, learn how to promote the products there using ppc... you can easily bring in more then adsense .. CB also pay on time every 2 weeks instead of monthly like adsense
I use: Adsense (biggest egg in the basket) YPn (a tiny egg in the basket) Donations (surprising how big this egg is) CJ (sometimes big, sometimes not) If my Adsense egg should ever break, i could replace all my Adsense ads with Yahoo and still be "ok" .. i think..
I have done fairly well selling text links. Brings in some extra cash and they don't take up a lot of room on your site.
