Effects of PageRank before update?

    Hey everyone,
    I am working on building some linkpop for a new informational site. It is predicted PR5 via iWebTool PR prediction tool. Do I have to wait till the next update for the links to help my rankings or will it do it automatically? Also, when do you think the next update is?

    hi,

    i think the next update is going to be held by june or july. optimizing the site is in our hand but getting the page rank is in the hand of google. you have to wait till that time period. but don't stop optimization.

    Your actual PageRank is calculated constantly - what you see in the Toolbar is only exported every 3 months or so. Your position in the SERPS will move gradually - it will not jump from 500 to 10 when the toolbar export happens so keep working on the site as if PR did not exist.
