Effects of merging multiple blogs ?

    I need some help.

I have more than 2 blogs and I find it difficult to handle them. Would it be okay if I merged these blogs into say 2 blog with a broader focus . Would this merged content in 2 blogs be considered duplicate content ? Because the old blogs would still be in the google cache . Right ? Would my new blogs be considered blogs with copied content .

    Thanks

    :)

Right, you gonna have duplicate content issue.
Is that all you want to get answer for?

    yes

    :)

    Thanks .

actually i merged my second blog into first and after some time my first blog crashed into greybar pagerank even though I had produced unique content after merging . I though that merging of blog might be the only reason .

Can you suggest a way out of this please because it took me a lot of time to build those blogs .

    :)

Looks like you have mess things out there.

Have you done any permanent 301 redirection?

Things can get normal within 1-2 weeks time after 301 redirect.

If you feel 301 is a big headache, then you should drop the merging process.

I have backed up all the blogs and then deleted them, sent a cache removal request to google. If the traces of my blog are removed by google then may be i will repost the content. But I do not think that is going to happen.

If both of your blogs have the same visitors, you did it true. But if the visitors were different, i think you shouldn't delete one of them because now you are loosing some of your visitors.
I think it would be better if you redirect one of your blogs to the other one. In this case you didn't lost your visitors.
