Hi, I am doing some research and I am looking for some statistics that shows the difference in conversions/effectiveness of online ads (and specifically ppc ads if possible) vs. newspaper/magazine ads. I did look around a bit and found nothing usable. Anybody ? Can I have some directions? Thanks !
Interesting research. When you will be done it post up please link here. I would want to read... I don't know places where you can find some information by this theme but in my opinion difference is in goods or services you want to advertise. Difference is highly depends from campaign details. Maybe you should find information in The Economist magazine. I can answer you at some questions. Send me it in PM
Newspaper is the most dependable, prominent and effective advertising media. But in my opinion Pay Per Click advertising is more effective because it matches what people searching online, who are looking for what you sell with the keywords and redirect them to the pages on your website that are prepared to sell your services or products. Dramatic results are visible in a little as one week for a fraction of the cost to place advertisements in the newspaper.
For those of you that requested what I have found. oaaa.org/marketingresources/factsandfigures/mediacomparison.aspx Enjoy !
Personal experience for me has been paper ads = more money. But I guess the methods you use makes a huge difference. I.e how the paper ads are worded.
