I have a rather small amount of weight (about 6K). I have not been able to find a useful way to deploy the weight.

I have tried pointing the weight at a couple different pages but google just stops indexing the page and the page starts slipping in the serps.

My sites are at least two years old and have many permanent links as well.

Have you found ways to deploy your weight while not loosing ground in SERPS?

Spread your weight around a bit, you could try pointing it at x different pages and maybe increase it over time.

That is a good thought DCT. I have spread the weight around as many as 10 links with the same results.

what anchor text are you using? That is an important part. And also leaving the weight on it for a good long while... heh.

Short precise anchor text no more than 3 - 4 words.
