Effective ways to market a webmaster community

I want to start a webmaster community yet im kind of stuck on how to market it effectively. How I will start is probably submit a million links and then get some paid posting done for some content... Any other suggestions you guys can make? Oh and I also will use contests but where should be marketing to bring the actually memebrs?

 

Promoting a webmaster community is a really hard task as there are so many of them out there

You can start by participating in other webmaster communities using a signature with your site.

I have this site for a couple of years, but I already had webmaster related sites before, so there were a stable source of traffic.

In general I would suggest you to think twice if you are going to start a webmaster community as it requires a lot of work, and you can't expect big results. I mean for the same work you'll get more results in a less saturated market.

 

yea for me my community I wont be in it for the money at all... its just i like the topic =) So I dont mind giving it a try... hehe
