Effective blog directories??

Hello,
Anyone got a list of effective blog directories?? Specially some directories that are free and give instant approval?
If so, then please mention it and i don't want other directories i just want blog directories to submit blogs. It does'nt matter if they ask for signup to do so.

New kid on the block and just getting started. Caution!! Submissions which IMO don't provide good value, frequent updates or appear to be auto generated crap get rejected (getting to love that word). I approve around 10-15% of submissions. Quality over quantity. I admit to making mistakes and when I realize it they get dumped quickly. Being a benevolent dictator can be quite rewarding at times.
