Hey Everybody, I have not been here for a while, but you might remember my posts on how to run an effective caimpain Yahoo/Overture campaign using specific keywords and common misspellings. I had a campaign with over 2 million keywords on multiple accounts. I was spending 5% of what my competitors were spending with better results. I am sad to say those days are now gone, Yahoo/Overture has now followed Google, only displaying generic keywords. An example keyword would be “need Car Financing Van Nuys Californiaâ€, a 10 cents click, Yahoo will no longer display this specific keyword, they revert to “Car Financing†a $3.00 dollar click. Yes, Overture.com and a handfiull of 3rd rate sites will still list the specific keyword phrase, but how much traffic do these sites really see. When is the last time you did a search on Overture? Jack
This is because more advertisers have been added. While there were less advertisers you could find undervalued keywords and misspelled ones to get gr8 results. Alot of people are following suit now.
